Microsoft Windows 10 release was really unexpected as we all were expecting the release of Windows 9. Anyway, it is just difference of version numbering. I guess Windows 8.1 took place of Windows 9 so they directly jumped to Windows 10 or may Microsoft just want to catch up with Apple OS X in versions 

Whatever it is, the only good thing is that Microsoft is bringing the latest to people by releasing previews of their latest OS.  I got it installed on my machine yesterday, bit late but for good, so I gave it a try. I am pretty amused with user interface. It is blend of both Windows 7 and Modern UI . 

Install Windows 10 technical preview:

Installing Windows 10 technical preview is easier and quicker as compared to earlier versions. So, let’s get started.

• Sign up for Windows insider: go to https://insider.windows.com/ Microsoft will give you the latest releases and it will collect data related to that release, you can skip this step and directly jump to download.
• System requirement: Check if your PC meets the requirement. Go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-faq#faq=tab0
• Download iso file: Windows 10 technical preview is available in various languages and in 32 as well 64-bit version. Download any of them as per your machine and language you use. Go to download page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-download?ocid=tp_site_downloadpage
• Creating boot-able disk: Mounting the iso image in Windows 8/8.1 and running set up file will give an error. So burn the downloaded iso image in a DVD. You can use USB Drive too. Download Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool and follow the simple instructions in the tool (trust me, it is really easy to use) and use a USB Drive (4 GB or more). Read this guide for more detailed tutorial.
• Installation: Plug in AC adapter before starting installation. Now restart your PC. Enter boot options menu by pressing required key in bios and select boot from USB Disk/Drive.
